Avondale Primary School is currently seeking expressions of interest from licenced OSHC providers to deliver a service from the school site, commencing August 2022.

It was great to see so many of our families at our Open Morning last week as part of our Education Week celebrations. Our students and teachers thoroughly enjoyed having our APS families learn alongside of them and from one of our students.

Avondale Primary School is hosting a COVID-19 vaccination clinic where children aged 5 - 11 years can get vaccinated in a safe, welcoming environment.3:30PM to 6:00PM on 14th June 2022. A Q & A session will also be held on 31st May 2022 from 2:30PM to 3:30PM in our library.FLYER

During Flexible and Remote Learning, the 3/4 students have been learning about the Olympic Games as part of our inquiry unit: The Olympic Games and Australian Symbols. Click READ MORE to view photos of their amazing Olympic torches and learn about the history of the Olympics.

During flexible and remote learning our students were asked to write about what they would do if they were Principal for a Day. They also had the opportunity to imagine they were an architect and design a new school.Here are some of their amazing work samples and suggestions.

During flexible and remote learning this term we have been busy reading and sharing stories, designing toys and investigating matter through science experiments.    

Our school captains, Alvin and Hiyab, joined the Member for Niddrie, Ben Carroll, to participate in a sod turn to signify the start of works for our school’s new build. Click read more to view photos and more information on this project.

In recent weeks, all grades, including specialist classes have been busy setting up their classroom libraries. Students have been brainstorming authors, genres and texts that they would like in their classroom library then categorising, organising and labelling book boxes. Click here to read more.
